    Richard, I really like the 60 yr old pix (when you had hair)..
    but your '56 at that time wasn't as 'shiny' as your new one..

    Did you collect any awards today? I left early after picking up that heavy jack I bid on and won in the silent auction.. ;

    PS. I think there were more than 150 cars there Richard. and some very nice vehicles although since it was put on by th local 'Vets with Vettes' club, there were too many late model Corvettes... including the first two C8 Z06 's that I've personally seen (with the flat plane crank)..

    There was a '56 Chrysler 300B there... very rare vehicle and first I've seen in person..

    Hi Richard,
    Youse guys 56 is gorgeous!
    My first car was a 57 Chevy 2dr post, and I sure remember sitting where you are in the pic as I worked on the car, rebuilding the 265, and then buying a 327 in cardboard boxes, rebuilding it and swapping in along with a T10 4 spd, and of course, jacked up in the rear with air shocks, and Cragars. My Mom sewed up seat covers from hides of the Nauga.
    Regards, Doug

    Sounds like it was a nice one, Doug. My 56 was a hand me down from my older brother. It had an over the counter 283 short block with the original 256 power pack heads and 4 barrel carb, with the 315 hp solid lifter cam, 3 speed overdrive. It had tuck and roll interior from Tijuana, Mexico that my brother had put in. Only other option was power windows.

    Hi Richard,
    Your 1st '56 sounds great - great parts, including the unusual 3spd overdrive, and not to mention, the TJ tuck and roll.
    Regards, Doug

    Richard, your 56 turned out awesome! The picture of your old car reminds me of how limber we used to be in working on these things...
