Welcome, Chas, we must be twins, I've scraped, and bloody more body parts then I care to remember from working on cars, truck's, bike's, go-carts, anything that was on wheels and ran on gas. Even a jet boat with a bigblock chevy in it. My wife is always saying, can't you leave it stock and my reply is , any one can own stock. I turned wrench's for over 55yr's, and I agree the new kid's now day's forget to check the basic's before thinking they found the one problem that never happened before. Again Welcome.

Oh yes - let me count the stitches. LOL!

Funny one about the wife. We were married just a couple of years when we got that second '55. My garage was an extension cord out the front door to the street where I worked on the car. At the time, I didn't even have a driveway. Anyway, I don't remember what I was working on underneath the car but I reached down for a wrench and it was wet. I was like where did that come from, then I looked at my hand and realized it was blood running out of a knuckle I had sliced open. So I walk up to the front door, yell for the wife - hey get me a couple of bandaids. She comes out, about has a fit, says that's really bad and needs stitches. Of course I am like it doesn't even hurt really but off we go to the emergency room. Three stitches in my knuckle later I'm back under the car again. Today, I can walk in with a gash the length of my arm and all I get is "don't get blood on the rug, You'll be fine".

And Thank You for the welcome!
