Best $22 tool I have bought

My buddy had stop driving his 55 because the oil pressure kept dropping to zero upon acceleration. It has 40lbs at idle.
I bought this $22 endoscope inspection camera, drained his oil, plugged in the camera in my smart phone and found his oil pickup tube was laying on the bottom of pan. Probably just saved his engine.

I think those scopes are pretty cool and could come in really handy. But a "real" car guy would have just dropped the pan and left the phone scope to the millenials.

I also bought one of those scopes to find a leak in my pool plumbing. I found the leak right under the skimmer. Only had to cut
one hole in the concrete deck to fix it. Time and money saver!!!

I have one also. Can't say I've ever really had a great use for it, but I did look at the top of my pistons with it. I don't know if I can hook it to a phone, I leave an old laptop in the garage with the scope.

Good eye on that little detail Laszlo. I saw that too and held off ordering one. It would be awesome if it worked with an iPhone 5 and 6....

Looks to me like the issue with iphones is the connector, since they're microUSB. However, they do have a bunch of wireless ones that work with iOS. I'm assuming the wireless interface addresses the iphone connector issue.

Some of these are even cheaper than $22. There's also a lot of them on eBay.
