Hey smooth good to hear from you again. Estes should be a lot of fun in October if you like to view wildlife. The elk will be rutting and you'll see them even in town. Rocky Mountain National Park is right next to town and you should drive through it if you have time. The town should still be busy and there's lots of gift shops. Weather is usually still pretty nice but it will be cold in the evenings. It could even snow.....somewhat unpredictable that time of year. Up there they will probably have their first snow in late September, but it usually disappears quickly. We had almost no winter here this year....I think we got 2-3 snows of 3-4 inches and it was pretty warm. Must be global warming.

If you can schedule it in, you should try to stop by my place to say hi. I'm about an hour north of Denver and it's worth the drive to see the Big Thompson Canyon. Not sure if I'll be here when you come through but if I am I'd love to meet you.

    What dates in October?
