Interesting that both the '56 150 pulling the travel trailer and the '56 150 'prowl car' as they were know in those days were 6-cylinder cars. My first '55 Chevy business coupe had a 6-cylinder engine when I first bought it (1970). I pulled a '60 Plymouth ex-cop car on a chain from Corpus Christi to Houston with my wife steering the cop car and using the big cop car brakes to stop both cars whilst keeping the chain tight. Wife and eldest son who was 1 year old at the time rode in cop car and she was pregnant with soon to arrive 2nd born son. We had all our possessions loaded in both cars. The '55 with its 235 6-cylinder engine had no problem pulling both heavily loaded cars the 200 plus miles to Houston.

    Happy Motoring,

    Harry
