    Smokey Mountain Classic Chevy Roundup...

I Just returned yesterday afternoon from 5 days away at the Smokey Mountain Classic Chevy Roundup in Pigeon Forge! My Nomad made it the 500+ miles just fine (although I always worry about having a problem on the road)! There were MANY beautiful cars, including a newly restored 57 Hardtop with FI (black/white with red/black interior).. a beautiful combination. Some unrestored cars, a few restored cars, and many 'restomod' or updated cars! There were also more Nomads in the 200+ cars than usual... at least 8 I recall...

    Super Chevy covered it here..

Nice! I'd love to be at that show one year. Might just have to plan a road trip from SoCal and end up there in the Nomad.

This was the 42nd straight year that club has put on this show (only for '55-56-'57 chevys). I used to go back in the late 70's and 80's, then got distracted by Corvettes for a lot of years, but I've again been going for the past 7 years. I like it... it's got a LOT of Chevys to see, and parts dealers there selling, but not so large/tiring as the Tri-Five Nationals in Bowling Green (although that is also great!)..

Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area is also a great place to visit in the Smokey Mountains with lots to do in the area...

Unless I was out looking for parts, or eyeballing cars, I was probably sitting in the shade 'telling lies'... Sorry I missed you!
