    57 Bel Power Steering Problem

I posted earlier that after we reinstalled a rebuilt power steering control valve on my 57 Bel the wheel would turn itself all the way to the right and I had "pulsing" in the wheel. We adjusted the valve according to the info on this site. Unhooked the ram, adjust so the ram would zero (not move on its own). Thought we had the problem cured. Wrong. Now there is absolutely no assist in the steering. Car steers as though it had manual steering. Would seem to me if the wheel turned itself before adjustment, we are getting the proper pressure from the pump, and all new hoses and new ram. Any help appreciated.

I have heard of people having that problem and they learned that they had the hoses reversed. You might want to double check that to see if that may be your problem.

With the problem my builder has had with "figuring out how this goes together" that could very well be the problem Tabasco. Thanks for the reply.

Looked at PS assembly yesterday Tabasco. When you say reverse hoses, would that be at the pump, inlet to control valve, outlet from control valve, or connections at ram? Thanks in advance.
