I cut up apples and made two apple pies early morning, then went to my daughter's, airfried a turkey today, and ATE way too much! We had at least 23 folks from family which is always great to be able to do! I hope all you fellas had an equally great day with your family and friends...

Happy Thanks giving to all! Wife and I just returned home from having Thanksgiving with our sons, their wives, grandkids and great-grandson. A good time was had by all.

What are we thankful for? Everything. And especially thankful for missing being in a really bad 3 car crash by 10 seconds just as were were about to turn from under the freeway overpass onto the Beltway feeder road and begin our trip. Driver of the car that blew the light and nailed 2 other cars just ahead of us didn't make it, though. After careening off the 2 cars in the intersection, his car jumped the curb, went off road a short distance and then crashed headlong into a concrete bridge abutment. Couldn't do anything for him. Just helped get the other people out of their wrecked cars and waited for ambulance and wreckers and police to arrive. One kid about 4 or 5 years old was thrown from their parents' SUV and landed in the middle of the intersection still strapped into their child's seat. He appeared unhurt sitting there with all the broken glass and pieces of cars laying all 'round him. But we thought it best to carefully move him onto the grassy median until EMS arrived, as drivers behind us were attempting to thread their way through the intersection. Please keep all involved in your prayers.

    Best regards,

Had a great dinner at our daughter's place with son-in-law (he did ALL the cooking) and grandson. Also, got to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, which happens to fall on Thanksgiving occasionally...........
