All I can say is VOTE, and get every conservative/Republican you know to VOTE in 2020! Dems are emboldened, and they need to be countered!

I thought this matter was a real emergency ?
The "emergency" was they needed for Democratic incumbents to vote for impeachment ahead of filing deadlines to run in 2020, which are coming up for many before Congress goes back in session. AOC and company were rounding up primary opposition for any who might not vote for impeachment.

And at this time it matters not whether they send the impeachment articles to the Senate or not, because they're not going to get a conviction - they aren't going to get their demands for witnesses or anything else either.

There is a little spoken of Senate rule requiring immediate action be taken, should the House send over articles of impeachment. Meaning that everything before the Senate takes a back seat until the impeachment issue is settled one way or the other. This is not a Constitutional requirement. Only a long standing Senate rule.

I believe Pelosi and her cohorts in the House intend on holding these bogus articles of impeachment up so as to use them to further obstruct Supreme Court confirmations when Justice Ginsberg or another Supreme Court Justice resign or pass away. It is essential that President Trump continue to fill vacancies not only at the Supreme Court but in all federal appeals courts, etc. with highly qualified people who will follow the law and uphold the Constitution.

If he can continue to do so, there will be a sufficient buffer between the people and those who want to 'legislate from the bench' and destroy this great nation...... And that will buy us time to save the nation from destruction at the hands of Democrat socialists, communists, globalists (AKA the hate America crowd)...... And like minded 'establishment' Republican never Trumpers as well.

Just a guess on my part, but their actions since 2016 being so off the rails...... Falsely accusing the President and those around him of doing what they in fact did do...... I can think of little other reason than their unfounded and irrational hatred for the President and their desire to further obstruct his accomplishing the things we sent him to Washington to do (including judicial appointments)...... That would motivate them to do such outrageous and ultimately self-defeating things.

On the other hand...... If the Democrat co-conspirators ever do send their baseless articles of impeachment to the Senate...... McConnell has several options...... Including the option of having an immediate vote on the matter and putting it to rest once and for all. He does not have to continue the charade. But if he were to...... It could result in a real investigation. And that would put Obama, the Clintons and their co-conspirators in government at risk of doing serious jail time. And I do not believe 'establishment' Republicans have the backbone to hold their counterparts in government accountable. For many of them have skeletons in their own closets, as well.

    Just shaking head,

    Harry

That's right, Harry. BTW, I've never heard of a crime of obstruction of congress. I'm pretty sure it's not a crime.

There should be about 300 Million of us attempting to 'obstruct congress'.. to prevent the damage that they do on the occasional instances when they meet...

Pretty much every president ever has "obstructed" Congress in the same manner Trump has. That should be considered a non-starter, and will be by the Senate.

In the same vein as withholding the articles of impeachment for when a judicial nomination/confirmation comes up, they could withhold them until when/if Barr and Durham announce some indictments for the Russia probe/FISA stuff. This would be strictly a PR move to lessen the media impact.

I don't see how withholding really does anything though, as more of the public is now seeing what this impeachment biz really is. Any benefit they get just satisfies the radical base.

You are exactly right, Buster! I believe Rick laid it out pretty well......

    1. Never happened. If anybody abused their power, its the Democrats.
    2. Never happened and even if it had...... Is not an 'impeachable offense'. The President, like all US citizens is entitled to due process. And sending the Democrat's unreasonable demand for years and years of tax returns to the courts to decide is not 'obstructing Congress'.

In short...... The whole thing is nothing but phony baloney. And I sincerely hope that those who perpetrated this attempted 'soft coup' are held accountable though I doubt spineless 'establishment' Republicans have the backbone to do so.

There are 535 people presently serving in Congress. 100 in the Senate and 435 in the House of Representatives. Near as I can tell, there are perhaps 5 of them who are worth a crap and as for the other 530...... I wouldn't give a plug nickle for the lot of them.

Now let's forget all this nonsense for a while and enjoy the holidays.

A very Merry Christmas or Chanukah to all,

Personally speaking, I think DJT is a bombastic ninnie.

This said, DJT is the best Commander and Chief of my lifetime. We finally have a guy at the helm who does exactly what he campaigned on, and although he's rather... hummm.... unorthodox in his approach, he puts America first in the things that matters. He's had to withstand withering criticism from not only the left, but, the completely biased and unfair media. Add to this, the machine of government itself (FBI spying, phony investigations, lies to the FISA court) have been on a full throttle assault. I can only hope the electorate sees through all of the BS, and we get 4 more years of DJT. I personally believe our very Republic depends on it.

DJT is a Idiot, however he is still the best option out there. We need a lot more obstruction of congress especially Chuckie and Piglosi.
