Hi everyone.

Got a problem disconnecting the brake lines that run across the rear axle. Oh, 57 Bel Air 283.

On the passenger side tube of the axle there's a block that two lines run out of, going to each wheel cylinder. There's a rubber line going into the front of the block. The block itself is being held by a bracket that is tacked to the axle tube.

As one would guess one of the lines coming off the side will not come out, and also as one would guess I've destroyed it trying to get it out. I ended up cutting the brake line at the B nut.

Also, I can't see how the rubber line going into the front of the block comes off, and it needs to now that I need to take that block off to get the B nut out.

The item holding up progress is that rubber line. Can someone tell me how it comes off, there's no buggering it up because anything left won't fit through the hole in the bracket. There was a clip holding one side tight to the bracket, but that's off and the line still won't come off.

Thanks everyone.
