    Chevynut,

    I read about that many moons ago when I first got interested in TriFives and bought my first big Chevy book ('Chevrolet: USA-1' by Ray Miller).

    IMHO I always thought that it was a swing and a miss on the part of Chevrolet, as the 210 would have been more distinctive with that original trim design.

    Just last year I finally saw a 57 210 that had been customized with the 'original' trim design at a show & shine. I spoke to the owner, he jokingly said he did it to correct the factory design flaw.
