Center Section 1955 Chevy Wagon Rear Bumper

Anyone have a decent original chrome center section for a 55 Wagon? Its got the flat spot for the license plate.

They make a new chrome repop but I have a decent set of original ends and dont want repop. I also have an original center section but is had a hole welded so its bare steel in a spot.

    Thanks, S

Repro bumpers may not be as bad as you think. And they may be a good economic choice compared to quality originals.

I will probably end there but thought Id give it a try. The chrome on the ends is good original chrome. My center section would be useable if someone hadnt drilled and then welded holes shut. I was hoping one of the parts hoarders on this site had one laying around

Why not just have yours rechromed?

I figured it would probably end up looking a lot better than the ends.. I thought there might be something out there in decent chrome that would make the bumper look about the same all the way across.

    just being neurotic.
