Harry, I read that many days ago... I have been reading *every informed article* and many not so informed since late January. But once I read it, and assess it, I MAKE UP MY OWN MIND.

As do I, Bama. We just view and process the information we base our decisions on through differing prisms. And that results in differing perceptions, conclusions and opinions at times.

Scorp, my point regarding media bias was...... If someone gets their information from those in media who have a vested interest in presenting the President in the worst light possible and who have no problem taking his remarks out of context and twisting them to shape public opinion against him. And when that will not work for them...... Have no problem simply making things up (lying to whomever of us will still believe what they say)...... That person is getting a skewed view of current events. And not the truth.

Bama and Scorp, regarding the man from Florida who was cured of the Coronavirus using hydroxychloroquine...... As you seem to have a problem with the source referenced in the New York Post article I posted the other day...... Here are 3 links to the man who recovered telling his story in his own words......

    Another source......

Rather than clutter this post with the many other sources relating this, just google the man's name 'Rio Giardinieri' and pick any source that you like. Yes, there will no doubt be those which are skewed in such a way as to attempt to make an anti-Trump political statement if that's what you are into, but the great majority I have seen are truthful.

    Best regards to you both,

    Harry

    Harry,

You need to concentrate on READING what we type here... .. because you have consistently misconstrued what some of us type here.

Some of us actually WATCH/LISTEN to what the President (and his staff - including Dr Fauci) actually SAY..
rather than rely on ANY news idiot to tell us what he said...

I suppose since you don't have a cable connection, that might impact what you are able to watch in real time.. but please give the rest of us some credit for being able to HEAR, JUDGE, and use our brains to process what we hear (from many sources).

Bama, I understand all that and I will take you at your word that you base your conclusions on first hand information rather than on what the biased media talking heads have to say. My apologies for having assumed that you were doing otherwise. I understand that two people can see or hear the exact same thing and come away from it with entirely different perceptions. So I will assume that is why we differ in what we take away from our viewing of the President's daily briefings.

We unplugged from cable and satellite TV 20 years ago. We do pick up quite a few stations on our antenna. And Cheryl has a way of pulling up the President's daily briefings on her computer and casting them on our TV so we can watch them together.

The TV stations seldom show the complete briefing and Q & A sessions (cut away before they are done)...... So this way we can watch the briefings and Q & A in their entirety and without the TV talking heads interrupting or giving their spin on things.

Actually, its amusing to watch the President toy with the media types like a cat with a mouse when they ask their impertinent questions or waste everybody's time with such stupid things that he just shuts them down and goes to the next question after admonishing them. The ones who are downright rude and disrespectful though, tick me off. Them I can do without.

My wife's Mom is 93. She has been in an assisted living center up in Tomball for a couple years now. There is another place across the road and down a bit (different ownership) that is a nursing home and does more medical and physical therapy than where her Mom is. Her Mom has been at that nursing home 3 times over the past 2 years whilst requiring medical treatment or physical therapy after leaving the hospital whilst transitioning back to her assisted living center.

At the assisted living center where Cheryl's Mom is at, beginning 3 weeks ago, they began taking visitor's temperature and screening them as well as requiring them to wear masks and gloves and limiting the number of visitors permitted. And visitors were escorted to and from their family member's room by staff to ensure kids did not go places they had no need to be.

As of 2 weeks ago, management have locked down the assisted living center. This is not government mandated . These are measures put in place voluntarily by management there. Visitors are no longer admitted. Only staff and they are monitored daily as they report to work. If we need to bring Cheryl's Mom prescription medicine or supplies not provided at her assisted living facility, we must deliver them at the door and they are taken to her room by staff.

We just spoke with my wife's Mom. Cheryl has a computer thing called 'Echo Show'. It has something to do with 'Alexa'. Anyway, her Mom has a computer in her room and we can see her Mom on the screen and she can see us if we turn it on when we call her (through the computer). Computers are a mystery to me and I have no idea how it works, but its nice to be able to visit with her Mom that way every few days.

Last week, a 90 year old man at the nursing home down the road from her passed away from the Coronavirus. We are glad Cheryl's Mom is where she is. The managers at her assisted living center seem to be doing all they can to keep her and the other residents safe there.

There is some speculation that the President may issue an order to lockdown New York City and other hot spots to prevent spread of the virus to other places until the Mayors of those cities get a handle on things. De Blasio sat on his hands for quite a while and did nothing constructive to stop the spread of the virus. It was only a couple of weeks ago that he finally asked for PPE's, ventilators and other assistance. And then he complains loudly that the feds aren't doing enough to help him. FWIW...... New York was advised to replace PPE's and other such equipment after the H1N1 virus in 2009 but failed to do so. In fact, since that time, New York has lost 20,000 hospital beds and has only 53,000 or so remaining. At a time when they need between 55,000 and 100,000 beds depending on who you believe.

On a more positive note...... I believe that its becoming clear to a great many people that our nation must become self-sufficient not only regarding energy production as we have recently done...... But regarding production of medications and other essential items as well. And that we must renew our manufacturing capabilities and become self-reliant as once we were...... As a matter of national security.

If it takes this virus to make that clear to people...... That globalism and the one world government are flawed concepts and contrary to what is best for people...... Perhaps that will be something good that comes from this. Ironically, this virus which takes so many lives has also saved some. Our Governor here in Texas has issued an order that until further notice, there will be no elective surgery nor elective medical procedures. Only those that must be done. This is to free up medical personnel and facilities so they can be utilized to treat those affected by the virus. Further, he has made it clear that this applies to abortion facilities (so-called 'Planned Parenthood') as well. So for now, the baby butchers cannot murder the unborn nor the newly born in our state except as a medical necessity to save the mother's life.

Gotta go now. We'll be watching Dark Shadows re-runs from 1969 and having a late dinner here in a moment. I put on a pot of chili with beans and brisket at sundown. Just now ready. We are out of fresh bread here, but we have matzah. Lotsa matzah. So chili and matzah it is then. Yum!

    Best regards,

    Harry
