    55 & 57 chevy frames

does anyone know on a 1955 and a 1957 standard chassis if the clutch pivot ball bracket is located in the same place. I have noticed that the oval hole and the 1/4 inch hole on each chassis doesn't line up. any info would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Mike, if I understand your question, yes, the pivot ball is in the same position on both frames. The '55 has a straight bracket at the other side (bolted to bellhousing) and a correspondingly shorter bellcrank than '56 and '57. But pivot points on frame are the same.

    Hope this helps,

    Harry
