    Project 56 getting started

Pulling engine to start engine and engine bay clean up. First discovery, driver side inner fender needs replaced.

nice start. with no drivers side fender, engine removal will be easier (glass 1/2 full).

Thanks Carl, yes sir (LOL), I'll be removing the pass side front fender also. Both front fenders need new headlight caps. Then engine removal will be much easier. Also going to do some work on the firewall while it's easy to get to.

You're on the right track. I pulled the front end off my car, then cleaned and painted it, rebuilt all the suspension, installed disc brakes, then installed engine and trans...........then put the front end back on. Only problem.......this wasn't a single weekend job, but was well worth it.

Front end off & engine out. Something tells me this is going to take more time than I was thinking it would... No hurry, just going to have fun with it.

Engine checks out solid so I'm going to clean it up and make a few minor changes. I've decided to run the small block for a while.

Making some progress, a little paint (going with Comp Yellow for a change) and a new oil pan.

Excellent progress! Keep at it, she'll be back on the road soon. Keep posting pics for the rest of us to be inspired. Not many out there doing much on their trifives lately.

And/or if they are...they surely aren't taking the time to post progress on this website.
