    I Still Haven't Grown Up.

This weekend I was crawling around the floor of my shop working on my wife's car and wore a hole in the knees of my jeans. It brought back memories of when I was about 10 years old.

I was in my room on the floor playing with my cars. Mom came in to tell me supper was ready. She noticed I had worn holes in the knees of my jeans. She said she would be glad when I grow up and quit crawling around on the floor playing with cars.

When I was about 16 I was in the garage working on my Buick convertible. Mom came in and noticed I had worn holes in the knees of my jeans. She said she would be glad when I grow up and quit crawling around on the floor playing with cars.

My Mom died 36 years ago, but if she were here, I don't think she would be surprised that I am still crawling around on the floor playing with cars.

I'm sure getting old, but haven't started growing up yet. I have to admit, though, I can get down on my knees more easily than I can get back up. My Dad always said I'd wash the paint off my car, I washed and waxed it so much. Of course, he didn't believe in washing a car, he said that's what rain was for. Won't even tell you his idea of oil changes.............

Sure am glad to hear that, Carl! My old kicking around jeans have holes in both knees and its not because I can physically get down under my car and get back up any more. Like myself, they are just worn out.

    Best regards,

Sounds like you all need some Sears Tough Skins with the huge patches on the inside of the knee area!!!

Sounds like a great idea, Troy! Our local Sears stores here shut down recently though. Wonder if we can order the patches from Sears online?

    Thanks for the tip,
