DIVORCE AGREEMENT Between Republicans & Democrats

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is our separation agreement: --Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

--We don't like re-distributive taxes so you can keep them.

--You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU

--Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military.

--We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar and bio-diesel

--You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

--We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street.

--You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, hippies, druggies, and illegal aliens.

--We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEOs, and rednecks

We’ll keep Hannity, Carlson, and Bibles, and give you NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, and Hollywood

--You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

--You can have the peaceniks and war protesters.

--When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

    -We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

--You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the UN. but we will no longer pay the bill.

--We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt, Tesla, and Leaf you can find.

--You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.

    --We'll
keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."

--I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine," "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing," "Kumbaya “or” We Are the World."

--We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

--Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you might think about which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

    Sincerely,

    John J Wall

    Law Student and American!

    P. S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin & Charlie Sheen, George Clooney, Barbara Streisand, and (Hanoi) Jane Fonda with you.

P.S.S. And you won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country.

Forward This Every Time You Get It! Let's Keep This Going, Maybe Some of It Will Start Sinking In!

Bravo! Well said! The one exception I will take is Walmart...... When they pulled all their 'All Lives Matter' gear 2 days ago and apologized to the racist 'BLM' bunch, that did it for our family...... Walmart can kiss our grits!

    Best regards,

    Harry

This stuff is something that should have had action 10-20-30 years ago (and did for some/many). The divide has just gotten worse with passing time. There's no common ground or goals and hasn't been over this time span. Except for maybe the "establishment" or "deep state" Republicans who don't accept reality.

Independent? Really? That's another word for "moderate" which means you don't believe in anything.

As for Walmart, what's your choice? Buy it from Amazon, which is politically worse? Or just pay too much from some other outfit who may share the same MO? You can only do so much without hurting yourself some way.

Yes, Rick, I am an Independent conservative. A Southerner. Considering what I know of history from my own family's experiences during and following what I choose to refer to as the War for Southern Independence, as that most nearly describes it...... I could never consider myself a Republican.

Our entire extended family were lifelong Democrats and without discussing the matter with one another, we all independently decided when former President Carter failed to live up to his oath of office and take immediate and decisive military action when our embassy was overrun and Americans were taken hostage by the Iranians in 1979...... We would vote for Ronald Reagan in 1980. And we did.

Since that time, we have always voted Republican. Myself, because I consider them the lesser of evils. But I could never join their party. Why? Because I don't want party affiliations to affect my judgement. And because of what occurred during the 5 years following the war whilst the Southern states were occupied territory under martial law and with no rights, no representation in government and no citizenship. During that time, our money and property were stolen and by the time our state was readmitted to the Union, some family members had left the country and started their lives over from scratch elsewhere.

That is true. Both Walmart and Amazon are on our sh*t list same as Dick's Sporting Goods, the NFL and others. I do not believe in calling for boycotts. That's a leftist notion. Nonetheless, each person comprising our extended family of 100 + people will independently choose which businesses we will support...... Or oppose...... Based upon whether those businesses support our nation and our way of life.

That said...... We will do the best we can not to do business with companies that side with those who want to destroy the nation we love. And if that means we must pay a bit more or perhaps do without something from time to time...... That is a small price to pay for our continued freedom and self-governance in my view.

    Best regards,

    Harry

Normally I don't enter these conversations but being as I am also an "independent" and have been for years I would like to add a bit here. I can remember my Grand Dad who was a staunch Republican ALWAYS voting a straight Republican ticket. Didn't matter who was running, if they were Republican they got his vote. When I reached voting age LONG ago I registered as Democrat, thinking that Democrats were more for the "working man" at the time. That may have been the case years ago but no longer. As I grew older I became less and less thinking that was true. I re-registered and changed to a registered independent with no affiliation. I honestly don't believe there is a nickels worth of difference between a Republican or a Democrat now days. Both parties mostly seem to be in the game for their own personal gain of power and influence. I try to do the research as best as one can now days and vote for the MAN or WOMAN who I believe will best represent my views and will work for the betterment of our country. We have our problems for sure but there is STILL no other country in the world I would want to live in. I see a lot of people in the news saying our country is in such bad internal condition but yet I don't see any one of them in the news actually leaving the country. This particularly is true in the Hollywood and sports world.

I agree the republicans need to grow more balls. But you only have the two parties. You have to pick one. What does that mean, Being an independent in todays world?

Independent means you have not 'signed up' to always vote for a single party, and you TRY to vote for the BEST man in each general election; what that usually means the last 40 years is that you try to vote for the LESSER of two evils...

I've believed for many years that each election should have a 'choice' called 'NONE OF THE ABOVE',. and if that choice WINS the election, then the other candidates MAY NOT run again! Find two more to run...

Also means here in Kansas registered as an "Independent-no party affiliation" I CAN NOT vote in a Primary without voting a straight D or R ticket. Which I flat refuse to do that. In a General election I can cross party vote but not in a Primary.
