    '57 April CI Intake-Worth Keeping?

As in the title, I have an original GM cast iron intake #3731398 dated for April of 57. It's for the WCFB carb, good condition, no major rust or issues with the threaded mounting holes for t-stat, coil, etc. Would be good for a stock restoration but being cast iron, shipping would be high no doubt. Is it worth holding onto for the chance someone is looking for such? Have hauled it to a few swap meets and nary a bit of interest. Hate to scrap such a dated 57 piece but really, is it conceivable anyone will want it?

An intake manifold doesn't take up much room. Put it on an out of the way shelf and hold onto it. Meanwhile, rather than hauling it to swap meets, run ads (wtih photos) in your local Craigslist, and the dedicated websites which specialize in original Chevys and Corvettes. It's not worth hauling, but is worth holding onto until someone wants to come and buy it, or is willing to pay you to crate/ship it...

Take good photos of the top with the PN and cast date, and bottom of the manifold for posting.

Thanks for the reply and the thoughts. As I mentioned I just hate to scrap usable original parts. seems just not a lot of interest by very many people for doing a full on factory correct restoration that would need correct dated parts. Have sold a few items on Craigslist, will try that at some point. Also have a correct dated left hand exhaust manifold. Also somewhere in my parts stash I have a '55 top mount oil filter with the thermostat housing mounted to it.

Bama has given good advice, I would not scrap it.
