Gotta get the firewall ready for the big block. No BFH for me. What fun would that be?

    Passenger side first.

How does that effect the heater box fit and function.

Will be running a Vintage Air unit, that clears perfectly. However the stock heater had a good amount of clearance so I suspect it would have been fine.

I was worried that such mods would create havoc with stock heater etc. As a result I went 2.25 forward. I could have got by with 1.5, but no less.

Looks good Robert... Does that mean you're staying with the coral / gray on the car color? *GOOD*..

I really like what you did, however I don't think it would have worked out on my 55. Why I have a Weiand Tunnel Ram with 2x4 Holley 600s and carb and breather clearance up high is tight.

Tight up high? is the sky low where you are Mark? (ie. the Weiand Tunnel Ram pokes THRU the hood doesn't it? .. all that is above that is SKY?)..

Not even close, stock hood shuts without carbs. With carbs and air cleaners only a couple inches protrude into scoop. You obviously have not seen those pictures of the TLB car with fake carb mounted in scoop for camera shots from inside car.
