Hey,
My name is Kyle Newman, I work for Newman Car Creations where we make chassis that integrate C-4 independent Corvette suspension components under the 55-7 Chevy's as well as just about anything anyone wants. We have been doing our conversions since 94' and have hundreds of chassis on the road. I love driving these cars and driving them hard!

Excited to have some fun with all you Chevy people!

Hi Kyle,

Welcome to the site. Are you still out there kicking butts in the autocross events with your '55?

Thanks everyone!
Yeah we are still having fun flogging the car, we acutally just got back from an event down in Irvine Ca where a bunch of Pro-Touring cars got together and flogged the cars. They had a road course, auto cross and speed stop events set up. We ended up top 5 in all of them on the first day which was a blast, anytime i can lay the smack down on a bunch of really nice camaro's is a good day to me!

Kyle, your car is a great testament to what can be done with a C4 suspension conversion in a Tri5. To compete so strongly against modified Camaros, Chevelles, and Mustangs is pretty cool!!!

Kyle,

I wish. I worked my butt off on it early this year, and got it to where it's ready for paint. It's all assembled and blocked out, but I wanted to build some of the interior structure which I have done. I still need to build a console.

The holdup now is that I'm building an addition onto my shop. It more than doubles the size of it, and it has put a temporary stop to work on my Nomad. Plus I've been bowhunting in NM and MT for the past month or more, and will be going to Kansas for a week soon. I just retired, and I'm starting an official business so that's taking time too. I'm working on designing some new products now.

When the shop is finished, I plan to move the car there and finish the interior construction I want to do, then blow it apart for paint. Hopefully I'll be assembling it by next spring. I'd like to make it to a few shows next summer even if the interior isn't finished yet.

There's some of the most recent pics here:
