bought a rust bucket 57 bel-air hardtop super exited to get started, it doesnt have a vin plate on it. I can read the frame vin ok.. Long story short i cant have the original vin put back on it. or can I? Does having an Oklahoma assigned vin number hurt the value?
This is a really big mistake on my part, not understanding how titles and vin numbers work in situation like this. This being my first attempt at a restore i will undoubtedly learn alot.
All the details i bought the car from an individual who never had the vin verified in Oklahoma. the car was from Alabama where they don't title classic cars, in Alabama the car was tagged under the cowl number.
