55 chevys did not have a motor mounted oil filter on the block , They where a add on factory Item and aways mounted off the engine

Factory air conditioning oil filter housings have the water neck built in to the oil filter housing--they are not the same as the non A/C housings-if that is what you have yes I am in--would like to see a picture please send to pjjam1@aol.com or post here I am very interested

Bluspot, do you have the factory AC battery tray with hold-down? Trying to get some dimensional details on the bracket that bolts the hold down to the core support...
