Well I'm happy to say that after almost two years to the day the 56 is back on the road. Working strictly on Saturdays and once in a while on a Sunday the 56 underwent a complete makeover. She ran great right out of the driveway! Although I did have a bit of a scare when the #6 plug wire came loose after a few miles..I actually thought I started to wipe a lobe :mad:...I promise I wasn't getting on it..much. It's a long story but we found the problem, pluged the wire back in and she ran like a beast. All work was done by myself and a close friend...oh and the wifey...
Here are just a few of the modifications and upgrades:
Vent windows deleted
Smoothed bumpers
Smoothed firewall
Built 355, Edelbrock heads & manifold, Holley, Comp Cams, Petronix, ect.
B&M 350 trans
Tubular control arms
QA1 Coilovers
4" drop up front, 2" drop in the rear
Rack and Pinion (manual)
Frame pulled and epoxy painted
Chevy 8.5 10 inch rearend with 3.73 gears
Ididit Steering column
Dakota Digital Dash
Ciadella Interior
Rain Gear
Lots of Danchuk and Gene Smith parts
Wilwood maunal disk brakes
Custom PRC Radiator with dual electric fans
American Auto Wire custom electric
Dynamat
Now i'm on the hunt for the next project! :cool:
