Guys, just bought a 39 chevy street rod. Has a 87 camaro frame. Looking for a steel rim-14x7-5 bolt 4.75 spacing. Know of any one who might have one? Also does anyone know approximately the cost to rechrome a rear bumper on a 57?

87 Camaros do not have a sub frame like 67-81 are you sure about this info. Are you looking for a ralley wheel or stock steel wheel.

I have the build sheet from 09. The frame has been modified to fit the 350 engine under the hood of the 39. The wheels were stock from 60-87 on the Camaro and Monte Carlo. I am looking for a stock [steel rim to use as a spare.

any Camaro or Monte car clubs in your area? Perhaps someone could turn you on to a wheel locally.
Olds cutlass had 14 inch rims too, during some years.

I have a bunch of wheels I've gotten with frames...let me check if any are 14".

In 1960 the 14 inch rims on Chevys were on full size cars like Impala and none of them were disk brake friendly. Camaros and Montes did not exist until 67 & 70 and disk brakes were an option on both. Monte Carlos did not offer 14 inch wheels untill they were downsized in 1978, I believe late 60s, maybe early 70s saw your first 14x7 wheel on a Camaro. I would really like to see pictures of an 82-92 Camaro subframe grafted under another car. A 14x6 disk brake wheel from an 80s Cutlass or S10 2wd would be much easier to score. I sell 14x6 Camaro disk brake ralley for $25, but I am sure shipping would be murder.

The only 82-92 Camaro/Firebird front suspension setup for a hot rod that I know of is made by Fatman for a 62-67 Nova. And it only uses the struts, lower control arms, and pieces outboard from them from the Camaro, the rest is fabricated. Such a setup wouldn't fit under the fenders and hood of a fat fendered car. And I don't think those cars used 14" wheels anyway.

I can't think of a car that had 14" x 7" wheels from the factory, but it doesn't matter, if they exist they would be very hard to find.

14" Rally and similar wheels from the late 60s to the 80s will work, not even all Chevy Rally wheels will fit discs, but most do.

There are some aftermarket 14" steel wheels that fit discs, they will have the "nubs" for a 57 type wheel cover if you look hard enough. Some aren't well done though.

I had 14x7 five spoke wheels for my 70 SS 396 Chevelle, I have owned a few mid 70s Camaros that had them.

I would almost bet money this Car has a 77 Camaro sub frame.
