My buddy Rich from the Nomad Club dropped by today for a restored liftgate and accessories for his 55 nomad. Super sweet car. pictures don't do justice. the paint is very very clean, all trim polished, etc. the liftgate he had on there was pretty bad. they ground down on the gutter just to get it to fit.

check em out...

Nice-looking car. What does it have for a drivetrain?

Where have you been? Haven't seen you around here for quite a while.

the business has kept me really busy this year. been working 7 days a week. don't have a whole lot of time to creep the forums

it had a small block, not sure the size or the tranny. it sounded really nice tho. great car. very clean, very detailed. high end for sure

Mike, what's keeping you so busy? Are you developing more new products?

That Nomad kinda looks like an older resto. I would think a high-end car would have something other than a carbed SBC in it. Looks like an auto too, based on the column shifter and bezel. Pretty car though...even red :). I love 55 Nomads.

I have kind of fallen into the "retired" thing. I do a lot of yard work, still trying to finish the new shop, and I work on frames and my Nomad when I can. My son had gall bladder surgery a couple weeks ago and is having a tough time with it, so we haven't spent a lot of fab time. Hopefully we can hit the custom frame for my interior guy again soon. The front end is almost done and we've partially assembled the AME-type center section. I cut out the 4 plates for the new rear frame humps...1" taller than stock and different shape so we can raise the differential up further. We're using a Viper batwing on the Dana 44.

Keep us up to date on what you're doing. You have done a lot of cool stuff. I should be buying more from you in the coming months as I assemble my Nomad.

maybe I jumped the gun by saying high end, but it is a very nice detailed car done 4 years ago. all the trim was done correctly, interior very nice, with leather and suede headliner. like I said, pictures don't do it justice. the paint had a lot of hours into block sanding, just one of those cars you can tell took time. it was nice enough where I was pretty nervous to work on it that's for sure.

still working on parts over here, we ran into a few snags with some things that set our timeline back on a lot of our up and coming products. we are very close on the stainless tailgate latches. the liftgate aspect of our business has exploded and am projected to do double what we did last year. those things are very tedious to get right, so it does take up a good portion of my time, but well worth it. the feedback has been great with the restos.

sorry to hear about your son. family comes first. hope everything works out and you can get back to the projects.
