Hey guys...been on CT and Tri-five for a number of years, but I figured I come join the party over here too :) Picked up some parts from cnut recently (and have had some rear axle work done by him as well since he's local to me).
Anyway, I have a '56 Belair 2 door hardtop that is actually my first car. Bought it off a pawn shop parking lot in 1993 (when I was 17) for $3000. It was originally Adobe Beige and Sierra Gold with a 6 banger and a 3 speed manual. When I bought it it was not in great shape, but who cares, I was 17 and had the coolest car in school! It had a worn out 327 and a Turbo 350 tranny then. I've done most of the resto work myself with the exception of a few things. Has all the goodies on it suspension and steering wise although if I had to do it again, I'd have done a C4 conversion for sure (and still may since cnut lives less than 60 miles from me).
It has a warmed over ZZ383 clone in it now backed by a 700R4 and a F**d 8.8 (that cnut modified for me...that was a fun evening when we realized we cut the the right dimensions of the housing off of the wrong sides :) ) Anyway, it's getting a 421ci Dart SHP based SBC with AFR 220 heads and a mild, but suitably nasty custom hydro roller cam and a manual tranny soon (this Spring). I just had some frame repairs done as well as a few other things I couldn't do on my own and it drives really nicely now (has all new suspension, sway bars, shock mount, double adjustable shocks, custom leaf springs from Global West to match the a-arms). Pretty excited about driving it once the weather warms up here in Wyoming!
I picked up a hidden hydroboost bracket from Cnut as well as some seat brackets (Caddy Eldo or Deville seats like his Nomad...which if you ever have a chance to see in person, do!).
Anyway, here she is with a new rear exhaust (had dumps before the axle before):

And my '56 next to her little friend, my '72 Camaro:

And, just for fun, a pic with my brother's '67 Corvette too (before I changed to 17" wheels):
