I have bought parts from a lot of dealers. Most carry the same parts. Danchuck is a manufacturer of some parts as well as a dealer and I've personally had mixed luck with them. Eckler's is typically the most expensive for the same stuff so I avoid them unless I can't find the part elsewhere. I dealt with L&T Reproductions once and they had great pricing and service. I usually look on eBay first to see what the best prices are and either but from one of the dealers there or try to get someone to price match. Muttonhollow sells a lot on eBay but they won't budge on pricing, based on my experience. You can also buy a lot of parts from Restoration-World as they now seem to be a big dealer, and a supplier of sheetmetal. I have bought directly from Gene Smith Reproduction parts (they manufacture some parts too).

Most parts are manufactured by one of two companies, and sold by many dealers. Consider shipping cost if you buy large parts of sheetmetal especially.

If you had put your location in your profile, we would have been able to better give you recommendations in your area.

I have heard nothing but good things about the east coast guys but they have no website worth going to to buy. Its all old school by the phone or buy their catalog which has prevented me from using them to date.

I have used ecklers also and got a bad taste from them. I bought new rear leaf shackles on a Friday and then bought a new battery box on Saturday and got an instant email conformation from them. I called them on Monday to ask why I did not get a conformation on my first order only to find out the shackles were on 6 months back order. The lady had the gull to ask me if I still wanted them.

I have better luck with summit racing more than any other supplier on the inner web. I'll certainly use ecklers again but I will be calling to make sure they have the parts they are selling before I purchase. I know they are not the only supplier guilty of this several others on the list above have been reported selling items that are on back order for months without disclosure.

I won't use him after he sent me part's that he had already trimmed down for something he was working on that has happened twice. Have just about bought a whole car from classic chevys of Greenville, Greenville South Carolina there good people to deal with.
