Fuel tank vent hose

I want to add a vent hose to my gas tank like what's used on a 57. I'm not sure what size hose to use, but with gas flowing into it at the rate the gas pumps work, it seems like I need a pretty large hose.

What is the ID of the 57 fuel vent hose? I'm thinking I need something similar to a heater hose....5/8"?

on my 57 nomad, it's 1/2 inch ID x 3/4 inch OD fuel compatible hose

Thanks Paul! I think I'll try to emulate the 57 setup with mine. Not sure how I'm going to deal with the top of the filler neck yet but I'll go ahead and put a bung on the tank.
