these are of the support bracket between the driver side door and rear window of my 55 nomad. Looks like a mother to replace. If I can get it out, is it available from Sherman? What is it called? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Scott, the first question I have is why are you trying to remove it? It looks like it's in good shape. What is it you're trying to do? I'm pretty sure that part is NOT reproduced but if you needed to take it off I don't see why it would be hard to do if you drill the spot welds. That doesn't look like to hard of a part to duplicate if needed.

Hi Chevy. I am considering the pitted area in the window channel as well as the powdery rust I can see inside. Maybe I can address when if I replace the outer qpanel. This might also be one of those let it be moments...

Can you take a close-up picture of the pitted and rusted area so we can give you better feedback? I really can't see it in the pics you posted.

I was looking at the wrong area...I thought you meant the support brace between the b-pillar and inner quarter, at the bottom of the b-pillar. To be honest, I think the area you're showing looks fine, at least in the pics. There is some light pitting there I can see, but that area has quite a bit of structure to it. Personally I wouldn't worry about it if the pitting is as light as it looks.

As stated, the part in question still appears structurally sound despite superficial pitting. I'd media blast, epoxy primer, and not have to worry about it again.
