I primed this latest C4 conversion frame yesterday and thought I'd post some pics. It's for a guy here in the Denver area, to go under a 55 2-door sedan. He's putting an LS3/4L80e combo in it.

This one is for a late C4 front and rear suspension with a Dana 44 and has the modified AME center section in it as well as a framework we built to mount an EFI fuel tank. I think I found a good solution for the tanks on these frames that works well with the swaybar mounting location.

I typically don't sandblast and prime these frames, and this is the first one I've done because the owner really wanted it primed. I did some filling of welds and factory defects before primer to make his finishing job easier. This is project #67 for us.

Hi Carl,

Check out my website for prices. I think I offer the most flexible options and pricing of anyone out there. I offer "basic" and "full' rear installation kits and front clips, and "basic" and "full" frames. The "basic" offerings are bar-bones deals to allow the owner to get the C4 suspension onto the frame, but don't include things like engine mounts, swaybar mounts, brake tabs, pinion support, etc. We offer them to guys who would rather fabricate their own brackets and save some money. The "full" kits, clips, and frames include everything with engine mounts of your choice (LS, SBC, BBC). And we'll do anything in-between, or even customize the frame. The AME center section is an option as is the gas tank mount framework. We'll supply suspensions and/or frames or use the the customer's parts.

Nice job Laszlo. IMO...that combination of features is really what most guys would want for a C4 frame (stiffer mid section with the AME stuff, and the gas tank mounting and rear swaybar stuff you mentioned).

Now...a suggestion.
You need to come up with a "stainless plate" that has your logo on it, that can be mounted on the frame somewhere.

It's time to "brand" your work.

We all need to be able to brag about it, and get top dollar consideration when compared to AME or Newman frames.

Time to "go public" with your work Laszlo.

Thanks Paul. I don't know where to begin looking for plates to attach to the frame. Did Newman have plates on his? I don't think I ever saw one.

Ron came over this past Sunday morning and we picked out his suspension parts and differential from my stash of C4 parts. I got all the hardware together to bolt it onto the frame and we assembled the rolling chassis. I made some wooden "shocks" to hold it close to ride height and gave him a set of junk wheels and tires so he could roll it around. It was a win-win because I was wondering what to do with those tires and needed to get rid of them :). He was pretty excited to get it strapped onto his trailer and head home.
