can anyone tell me the proper name for the metal sleeve that is in the upper shock hole that was factory installed 1955 chevy

It's not listed in the assembly manual.

I think what you're referring to is an eyelet that's part of the frame. Other names might be bushing or sleeve.

I don't think you'll find this as a restoration or replacement part.

If you're referring to the rubber grommets and the washers that go above/below them, they come with new shock absorbers.
