57 sedan delivery rear liftgate glass clips

OK finally getting to put some trim back in and I seen to be having a problem getting my trim installed
The clips that hold the rubber for the glass ..
are they in properly ?
I think that the high part facing the glass (top of pic) is holding my trim from fitting tight

so here's

the tailgate is up and this is the hinge top and looking thru the glass on the left side

if someone knows please advise me if they are right and I just need to keep working

My parts are painted and I don't want to booger them up

I'm not familiar with how a SD liftgate goes together....a Nomad is completely different.
