I have a 57 Chevy 350 V8 3 speed Auto and the transmission fluid needs topping up, just wondering what I should be using ? The previous owner said the transmission is a Turbo 350 but is there any way of telling for sure ? Thanks

Dextron III is fine, has a square pan with a rear corner cut off.

Thanks for the replies, what is the difference between Dexron II and Dexron III ? As some forums I posted the same question say Dexron II, thanks

Dextron II or III it does not matter, either one will work. Good luck finding II. They are backwards computable all the way to Type A..
