just got in our first sample of the billet stainless hood latch striker. polished it up and it didn't disappoint. really nice piece. we plan on doing another version for the 55 guys who need more clearance in front of their ac condenser. I thought of doing this piece after seeing my buddys car and a few other rides at shows with the aluminum striker, and they were really beat up.

I think using aluminum for a hood striker is pretty dumb. Your stainless version should hold up a lot better, though I'm sure it will cost a bit more. ;)

Mike, is the backside of that thing recessed? Looks great. Too bad I don't need one. :D

Do you make the latch piece for mounting on the underside of the hood? (the other half of the equation).
Or does this work with the stock latch (painted, rusted, scratched metal...)?

Still chewing on making the support. Got to take a good look at it. For now it will work with the stock support.

Thanks Sid, and thanks for letting me post on the forum showcasing our new stuff.

the price will depend on the polishing cost, since we are outsourcing all our polishing these days, or most of it anyhow. I'm thinking 140ish , at least that's the target, but I don't want to exceed 150. this part came out a lot better than I imagined, and just the little details like polishing the screws really finish it off. I'm hoping to make the support in stainless as well but nothing is a slam dunk. well see.
