I have 57 Chevy with a switch controlled heater
blower does not work there is a loose red wire coming from back of switch. Where should it attach to

It's right below the cigarette lighter at 2:00 from the center of the drawing. There's one 14 gauge brown wire going to the heater assembly that then goes to the blower motor. If it has factory A/C there's also one 14 gauge red wire going to the A/C blower.

The first thing I would do is check the fuse block and see if the fuse is installed or if it's blown. Then I'd check for 12V on the dark blue wire at the heater switch. If you have power there, see if it's getting through the switch and the connectors on the path to the blower motor.
