Bob,

Thank you for your interest and for inviting me to join the club.
I am located in Parker, CO, just outside of Denver.

I own a 57 Chevy that is in perfect condition with only 36,003 original
miles. The car is a show car, in that it is completely authentic, with no
restoration, it's in mint condition and has won several awards. The motor
runs great and everything is original except for the tires (new wide white
walls), belts, and battery. The paint is original... It is somewhat of an
off yellow color and not a bright yellow. The interior is black and gray
and
I guarantee that everything is absolutely 100% original.

In checking with dealers in California, they could not believe that there
was a 57 out there with this amount of miles and in such good condition,
they listed the car's worth at $ 55,000 - $ 65,000.

I am trying to sell the car since I have other hobbies to pursue and if you
know of anyone who might be interested in buying it, I am asking $ 29,000
which is a bargain price for this authentic 57. Understand that no money
will change hands until you or the buyer are completely satisfied with the
vehicle and its authenticity.

If you can find me a buyer, I would be happy to negotiate a commission for
you. If you think it would be beneficial to post the car on your web site,
please contact me.

Thank you again for your interest and I hope to hear from you again soon.

Sincerely,

Michael Windsor

Work# 800-537-9602 ext. 701

Editor's note. This is the most unusual car I have seen for sale since I
started this list.

Hello my name is Dave, I believe your the person I'm looking for, you
were listed as the founder of your car club. I have a small company that
customizes miniature cars (ex. Hot Wheels) for car clubs and car shows. We
will supply you
with a car that best suits the type of club you have, and detail it (i.e.
flame's, striping, etc.) as well as apply your own club logo w/year on the
car. Finally we will repackage the car in a custom blister pack that will
include you're name, logo and year. In closing I'd like to say this is a
great way to commemorate your club, an annual event or fundraiser.
--The only pictures you have to send us is your club artwork, and if you do

not have any we can provide it as well.
--Cars will take between 4-8 weeks depending on the availability and how
many
cars you need. We can do orders up to 50 - 100 within the aforementioned
time
frame. Larger orders may take longer. We'll quote this on an individual
basis. Prices range between $15.00 and $30.00 per piece based on a minimum
ord
er of 50 pieces. We require half the money up front. Smaller orders will
have to quoted on an individual basis.
--For additional information, include your phone number and I will get back

to you as soon as possible.

I noticed a few weeks ago some comments concerning certain clubs not being
listed in the recent issue of Classic Chevy World. Ventura County Chevys
also
was not listed. We have written a letter to CCI expressing concern over
being
left off the list after having been associated with CCI for many years. A
copy was sent to one of the California State Associates. I received a call
from the Associate providing some explanation which in summary is, if a
club
doesn't "register" with CCI for insurance purposes, they probably were not
included in the list. Interestingly, when Ventura County Chevys attempted
to
"register" last August, we were unable to do so due to some circumstances
following a recent CCI convention. CCI has done a great deal for the
Classic
Chevy hobby, as well as late greats/yesteryears vintages. As the
newsletter
editor, I know CCI receives a copy of our newsletter; perhaps the Assn
should
take a look at their "registration" procedures so clubs are not penalized
for
not filling out the right paperwork.
We did "register" with Bowtie Chevys/Late Great Chevy Association without a

hitch and tremendous service.

Hi I have an item for sale then a question or two, first a 283 2bbl from a
57
looks to be totally original from carb to pan ran good. make offer, engine
code for a turboglide so it is drilled for a starter but no i don't have
the
turbo, but i have a 55 or 56 power glide to go with it. Now for the
questions
Does anybody have a good suggestion for a late model rear end to put under
a
57? nothing fancy drum brakes are fine. Is one a close fit? moving the
spring
mounts would be OK but don't want to fool with narrowing it.
Thanks John Page JP4894@AOL.com

Hi Bob and all tri Fivers,

Bob you are doing a great service by keeping up this list. Although
I am quiet and do not contribute for long periods, I do look forward to
reading the
list.

Chris, you asked about the 58 Nomad......I knew a guy who had one
way back in the early 60's. It was an aqua and white, 4 door wagon in the
Belair
series. It had a 348 engine with power glide. If my failing memory serves
me right, it
had a little more ginger bread trim and accessories. It was not of a
special body
style like the Tri 5's.

On a past list I recall mention of the Nomad name being on the
Corvette....this is where the upper body style of the Nomad came from. It
was a concept car
introduced at the Waldorf Auto show in NY and is referred to as the
"Waldorf
Nomad".
I believe it was in 1953 or '54.

My internet browser went down on my computer for about a month. Due
to some change from Sprint & Earthlink merger and my navigator etc. was
outdated.
As a result, I lost a lot of e-mail addresses. Any one who used to
correspond with
me.....please send a short note, so I can re-establish my address book
and bookmarks.

Thanks,

Rich, Baltimore MD
