I'm going to redesign my 2-1/2" head pipes to 3", and I've decided to add stainless braided flex couplers. They come in a variety of lengths, and I don't know what length to pick that is adequate in isolating the engine vibration. One feature I think I want is the inner braid liner. So, come on engineers, help me out!

I debated whether or no to add them to my finished exhaust system but after assembling it I decided to go for it. Mine are 3.5" ID and 6" long. I was trying to mostly address any slight misalignment of the v-band clamps and to avoid some stresses in the system.

CN, are your exhaust pipes solid mounted to the frame, or hung with rubber hangers?

I used a combination of Deeds Engineering hangers and OEM rubber type. I set up the Deeds hangers so they slide instead of being mounted solid to the frame. I have hangers behind the trans crossmember, at the shock crossmember, and just forward of the bumper.

Those Deeds hangers are sharp. I looked them up, considering the quality, they aren't crazy expensive, either. I've used spherical rod ends as exhaust hangers on other hot rods. I might consider using them again.
