Goodguys Pleasanton August 2020 IS A GO!

Goodguys Pleasanton, Ca August 21-23, 2020, Alameda Fairgrounds is going to happen. Over 3500 cars and trucks (1987 and older) are expected.

My son and I will probably participate with the '57 Chevy station wagon, on Sunday. On Sunday, Goodguys presents the crowning of America's Most Beautiful Street Rod.

Even with today's re-announcement of a lockdown?

We'll see. This morning, Goodguys website stated all protocols will be in effect with hand washing stations throughout the fairgrounds. Couple minutes ago heard the Gov's list of business's that will be closed. I'm not going to preregister for the show because the fairgrounds is county owned.

I just looked again at Goodguy's website. No mention of the show being cancelled. Preregistration still open.

Went to Hot August Nights website and the event has been cancelled. Darn!!! I wanted to attend because in January I bought my 57 Chevy wagon in Lake Tahoe, just up the mountain side. I was hoping some spectators new the 57 and could share some info about it. There are 4 stickers from local shows on the 57's windshield and two on the dash. So the previous deceased owner was a show goer.

Kinda dicey around here with cancellations of these shows and automotive swapmeets, etc. Lets hope GG Pleasanton can happen.

Did this one happen? I don't think so...........yesterday they cancelled the Del Mar show scheduled for Oct 2-4. I guess no car shows until after the election.
