Any feedback on the plan to install a 1997 350 FI unit in the 57?
I know there are kits for LS to TriFive is the 350 a pretty straight forward footprint swap with my 283 v8?

Is the 350 from a Camaro or Firebird, or is it from a pickup, or something else?

The swap can be done with either the Camaro or pickup hardware, it's not terribly hard if you're handy, but neither are something that's currently well supported in the aftermarket with conversion harnesses and pcm support, which you'll need at least to work around the security system (VATS).

You'd be far better off swapping an LS based 5.3 engine that's available cheap in salvage yards.

I will be picking up an entire running suv with all the accessories. So it should have everything needed correct??

That's correct, it should have all the hardware.

The fuel injection hardware on those engines is troublesome.

I would dump the Spider and bolt on a carb intake then use a Holley carb or aftermarket FI.

Does anyone have experience swapping the stock Spider for the MPFI unit and is it worth the $250?

Has anyone flow tested the vortec heads to spec an upgrade cam to be a street able performance motor, and why do I keep seeing videos on changing to flat tappet vs original style roller cam with a better profile?

The votech cam is a pooch I run a 97 truck short block in one of my 87 GMC 4x4s. I has aftermarket Engine Quest heads on it. This truck is not noticeably stronger than stock brother I also own.
