View Full Version : Original Steering Wheel Value?

I have an original 57 Bel Air / 210 steering wheel with typical small age cracks near the center hub. The outside main wheel trim is intact and solid. I won't be using it but I realize people restore these wheels for use. Can someone help with thoughts about the value of such? Also have two original horn trim rings for wheel without the plastic center piece. Both are intact with no splits. Both have bubbled chrome from weathering but pretty sure they can be re-plated.

This is probably the rarest steering wheel bearing the Chevrolet emblem ever.
Is it unique to this Chevroltiac or does anybody recognize it produced for domestic Chevrolets?
I think, it looks great. I grew up practically across the border with Canada. Had I known that their cars were that different, I would have attempted bringing one of these back:

I don't recognize either the steering wheel OR the emblem as being like anything Chevrolet I've ever seen??

I learned something about distributors for 261s were 235s the same.

Both are basically the same engine. The only possible difference might be with one or both of the advancing mechanisms, since each one of those engines put out their horsepower at different power bands.
According to the owner of that Pontrolet, the 348 was also an engine option

Here's a '58 with a 283. Being 6 inches shorter than an American Pontiac of that year, I'm guessing that this one's a Bel-Air with a Pontiac shell and dash:
