STRIPE

ok, "margie", my `57 sedan, is "1978 chevrolet monza red/orange". got her now for 11 years. getting a little tired of looking at, seems it/i could use a little change. so, finding out monday for a 10 inch wide stripe, hood, roof, trunk. white, with about a 1/4 inch black on the edges. has anyone ever see the book, "racing the family sedan". well, i great lookin 7 is on the cover. with this wide of a stripe, always loved it,,,,,,,,,, so, i think i`m going to jump in. as for that car, it`s "big john" somebody. red, white, and blue. super kool. i got the idea of white, trimmed in black, for i have "331 cu. in." on each lower front fender. kinda stands out with that red/orange.,,,,, thanx.

I like the stripe; I think the broad white background bracketed by the blue flanks helps set it off. Red, white, and blue, how can one beat that?

like i said before, i`m probably stupid to send pics, till someone shows me how. i should get my daughter to show me i guess. and yes, big john barkley, what a car! and that`s one by my workbench that i kept.

I'm suspecting Big John didn't have sufficient paint in any one color to do the whole car, which led to this paint scheme... :)
