I'm thinking I need a pair of sixties era GM or ?? bucket seats for my '57 Nomad. Don't have to be GM, if any other seats have folding backs to allow back seat entry but everyone knows those look the best in a trifive. My plan is to reupholster to look as 'stock' as possible with the red/black cloud material upholster to match the remainder of an original red/black Bel Air interior. If you have a pair you haven't used, and don't know when you will.. Let me know what you have and your price. I also have LOTS of trifive parts (as well as others) to trade if you are needing anything in particular...

PM me with what you have...? or need...

I wish you the luck I went to an auction where they had 1/2 dozen sets with back seats in very good condition and kept running them up, finally the guy buying them all let me have the 65s for $150, sold the nice rear foe $85. That started me looking for a 150 2 dr.

Thanks Mark! :) I need a little luck like that!

I spent some time this morning looking online, calling around. I found a pair from a '65 Chevelle which are the low back 'square type', and which looks *right* ... waiting on a measure of the seat width from him. I measure my stock bench seat and it's ~ 54-55" wide, so I need seats with are 24-25" wide to not have too wide a gap between the two buckets.

Do any of you have an opinion on 65 Chevelle seats for a '57?

I believe that I have seen both them and even 66 Fairlane used and they were a good fit.

I have these seats in my '57 Townsman. I believe the seats are the same for all 1965 and older GM compacts and mid size...Corvair, Temptest, Cutllass, Special and Chevelle . The lower cushion measures about 24" wide. I like the way they fit and look.
