SAFETY on the street... Drag Racer charged with murder!

Drag racing can be fun, but we should keep it to the official track, not on the streets! I've done it before as most of us probably have, but beware that it's dangerous and very risky!...

Spectator struck, killed during Alabama drag race; driver charged with murder

One man is dead and another jailed after a drag race turned deadly in east Alabama.

Phenix City police Capt. Darryl “Joey” Williams said a drag race had been set up Christmas Eve at State Docks Road and Industrial Drive.

During the illegal race, he said, one of the drivers lost control of his vehicle and struck a spectator, killing him.

Anthony Kentrell Moore, 25, was pronounced dead on the scene.

A murder warrant was issued for James D. Paige. The suspect has now surrendered to the Russell County Jail.

I have not been down tthe trak since Covid and a few joint replacements, hope to run a couple times in 22.

I ran down the drag strip for the first time since 1965 when I was at the Western Invasion. I can't wait to go back, but the driver needs lots of work..............

I go a lot faster now but dont win the rounds I did when young.
