Minor detail but something I need to address soon. Has anyone been able to use a stock glove box light/switch and make it work? It takes a special hook-shaped contact/terminal that I can't find anywhere. There are repops available but they cost $20+ and I thought I could make my stock one work again. The interesting thing about these switches is they put ground at the center terminal of the bulb, and the contact to the bulb body is 12V. So that pretty much eliminates the ability to use an LED bulb there since the polarity is wrong. Not a big deal, but a little trivia.;)

This is the "hook" type terminal I was referring to. It looks similar to the stock one.

Doesn't that hook just bend in when installed and then retain the connector when it snaps out to hold it?

Yes, and it also is the contact for the light bulb. The light bulb retaining nub has to go through that hook. I have some like this Packard 56 terminal, but they won't work.

I'm not liking that wiring setup after studying this a bit. I haven't wired in a light to my glovebox yet, but when I do, I might just wire in a standalone micro switch (door activated) and then a separate LED light socket somewhere in there.
