57 accelerator linkage pivot

Dose anyone know what color the accelerator linkage pivot which mounts on the rear of the block top of the bell is suppose to be . I got the engine back yesterday from the machine shop and need to get this pivot ready to install before the motor goes in . Thanks

I'm pretty sure that piece and many other such pieces were maybe zinc plated (not painted), so you can prep yours by cleaning and clear coating with a satin clear paint...

PS. you asked recently about a 9003 voltage regulator. I have a 9000 nos unit, but no 9003...

Thanks again Gary , I now have it painted with Seymour Stainless steel paint which gives a nice bare metal look . The re-built 57 Power Glide will get picked up this week . Car is now back on it's tires so the motor and transmission can be installed .
