Output shaft is 27 splines .
I think this is the install kit I'll need for the shifter, https://www.holley.com/products/driv.../parts/3733163
    Thanks again Dragsix .

However I cant find a clutch kit that fits . Where do you guys get your clutch and pressure plate kits ?
Auto zone and Rock Auto has a listing but nothing in stock . Is there a new model that will fit ? The 55 has the bell housing with motor mounts on it IDK if that makes a difference .

I would really appreciate some help with this.
Back in the 70's I just brought the parts to a store and they matched it up.
Here's pictures of my side case, and pressure plate.

I believe the 010 Muncie was a 1966-1967 trans. It has a 1" counter shaft, and is probably an M21 close ratio, unless the input shaft has been replaced. Summit, Jegs, and other performance mail order houses will have plenty of options for you.

What diameter js your flywheel,10 or 11 inch. I would shop Summit racing, they are very close to you in Dallas area. I would get a matched kit, I guarantee they have a great selection.. That sounds like an early M20.

You should be able to figure out the year by the casting dates on the case parts.

Easy. You will need a shifter. If you have a bench seat this is what you want.

Then the installation kit. There are two for the muncie depending on the year of the trans and the style of the arms.

    Muncie 4 speed in a '55 210 wagon

Hi I'm new here but I've owned my 55 wagon for over 40 years. Along the way I swapped out the three speed column shifter with a floor mount Muncie 4 speed. It came with a Mr Gasket shifter , which works but I have always had trouble with getting into the right gear. So I want to purchase a new shifter how do tell what I need ? Summit Racing has a selection of Hurst shifters that require an installation kit, but they don't list my car.
    Where do I start ?
I live near Oklahoma City currently . I would like join a local club .
I hope this isn't too much info in my first post .
Working...
