I don't know what a #7200 FI unit is, but be aware that running avgas in your car on the highway is illegal. It's unlikely you'd get caught unless someone reports you for it, but it is illegal, and subject to a $10,000 fine.

Legality aside, the logistics on using av gas or race gas are also way beyond any sort of practicality. Other solutions have to be better.

I assume then that your VP at the pump is legal - but what's the cost? How far away can you drive from those stations?

I'm assuming the OP was mentioning his purchase of a '57 Fuel Injection Unit. The -7200 was one on the PN's of the FI plenum that year.

PS. Whether you need AV gas or other high octane fuel is more a function of your engine's compression. If I were installing a '57 FI unit on an engine, I'd be more concerned with making sure I didn't run ethanol fuel thru it...
