I need buckets for my truck and bought some really nice caddy seats with the shoulder cross strap built into the seat. They look cool and would be safer than a lap belt. When I got them home I discovered one of the pre tighteners had fired off which makes the seat belt unusable. What do you guys think about finding a seat belt receiver from an older car that does not have all the airbag/pretightener stuff and swapping that into place of the blown receiver. I don't want to have to find a caddy part as it would likely be expensive and totally useless as designed.
New buckets for my 56 restomod pickup.

Certified Repair Services: Companies like Safety Restore or L&D Solutions specialize in rebuilding seat belt pretensioners for Caddy (1996 and newer). They replace the gas charge, sensors, and damaged components using OEM parts, restoring the belt to factory condition. Repairs typically take 24 hours with a lifetime warranty.
Cost: Repairing a pretensioner is significantly cheaper (e.g., $65–$100) than buying new seat belts from a dealer, which can cost hundreds.
Process: You’ll need to remove the seat belt assembly and mail it to the repair service. Check for instructional videos on removal, as the process varies by model.
SRS Module Reset: After pretensioner repair, the airbag control module may need resetting to clear crash data and turn off the airbag light. This is a separate service (~$50) or can be done with diagnostic tools like VCDSsigpic
