I have the March ultra serpentine pulley system on my small block Chevy, which includes a power steering pump. It is next to impossible to see the timing marks to set the timing. Has anyone else found a solution for this problem or experienced this problem?

I don't have your setup, but have found it challenging to see the timing marks. I have highlighted key marks with a light colored, reflective paint to help visibility. If you go down that road, you might experiment with some paints on a piece of metal, seeing which provide better visibility with your timing light. -
I have a similar problem but I can see the timing marks pretty good. The issue is I can't see them straight on from the side of the damper. I also painted the marks with white paint to make them more visible. I have a camera that connects to my iPhone that I may try to snake down there in the right position to see if I can get a better angle. It's similar to these and works pretty good.
Around the engine, motor vehicle inspection, sewer pipeline inspection, search and rescue, criminal and custom detector. For iPhone 16/Plus/Pro/Pro Max. For iPhone 15/Plus/Pro/Pro Max. For iPhone 14/Plus/Pro/Pro Max.
