HEI Fitment In 57 Bel Air

I am wondering if a GM HEI distributor will fit in my 57 Bel Air with clearance to the firewall??? Anybody know?

Most cars it will not fit, many move motor forward 3/4 inch for this reason. That causes other issues like using 6 banger core support and driveshaft issues. SBC with V8 position radiator looks better anyway IMO. I have heard some claim they have done it , never seen it.

Aren't there small diameter aftermarket HEI Distributors? That might work.
